Process Aided Systems Engineering (PASE) provides a structured methodology to respond to the challenges of Product Development, ensuring inherent compliance with SAE ARP4754 / ARP4754A
The Product life cycle comprises a number of main phases, including:
- The pre-launch phase, made of the concept definition, the business case set-up and, once the program go-ahead has been given by upper management, the launch phase
- The program / Product development planning, where the Development Plan, the Requirement Validation Plan, the Verification Plan, the Implementation Plan, the Safety Program Plan, the Process Assurance Plan and the Configuration Management Plan, along with the Project Plan and schedules are defined
- The systems Request for proposal, proposal submittal and contract negotiations and award phases.
- The Product Development phase and the systems and sub-systems / component, software and hardware development phases
- Manufacturing, sales and delivery phases
- In-service support phase
- Once the Product has reach it end-of-first life, the Product second life phase
- Finally the Product decommissioning phase
